Tashi Alan J. Gomes

4th Degree Black Belt, Program Director

 
Tashi Alan has more than 15 years of Martial training. He brings a diverse background that includes Army Ranger training, leadership at the Eckerd Foundation Youth Camps, and 9 years as a youth group leader. Tashi Alan specializes in building skills, refining martial material, and developing strong character. He is a master at disguising the basics and making learning new skills fun! He is a dynamic martial artist and a gifted teacher capable of bringing out the best in each and every student.
 
 
Sensei Kelley M. Young
3rd Degree Black Belt, Lead Instructor / Office Manager
 
Sensei Kelley has been a Tokyo Joe's student for over 5 years; earning her 1st degree black belt in April of 2006 and her 3rd degree black belt in November of 2010. Her experience in special education helps her to individualize programs, to encourage students to grow at their own pace, and to be proud of each and every achievement. Sensei Kelley recognizes the benefit of 'play' for all ages and puts fun and discipline into the learning experience while maintaining her focus on individual progress.
 
 
Sensei Kiel A. Jenks
3rd Degree Black Belt
 
Sensei Kiel has studied the Tokyo Joe System since 2002. He earned his 1st degree black belt In April of 2005 and his 3rd degree black belt in May of 2010. Sensei Kiel leads many classes and adds his own style into everything he does. He is known for his patience and his willingness to do whatever it takes to help a student be successful. Through his hard work, dedication and personality, Sensei Kiel has endeared himself to staff, students and parents alike.
 
 
Sensei Freeman D. Young
3rd Degree Black Belt
 
Sensei Freeman has been a student of Tashi Alan's since October of 2003. Sensei Freeman earned his 1st degree black belt in November of 2005 and his 3rd degree black belt in November of 2010. He leads and assists in classes for every age group and is renowned for his martial arts memory and his attention to detail. His patience, sense of humor, and laid-back attitude make him a favorite instructor of many of our students.
